Blending content and e-commerce, Bonsai is aimed at helping users purchase products based on the content they enjoy. From up-to-the-minute news stories to original series, our editorial team was tasked with creating compelling content with the goal of leading to more sales within the app.
The Discover tab features content about music, art, design, sports, fashion, architecture, travel and pop culture. This content is displayed as a feed and is updated daily with new content. Within this tab, a user can discover articles about the newest album releases, shoe drops or basketball game highlights. Users can discover products within 'Selections' and within articles.
Shop is a feed made up of both product-related content and product to be purchased. The content featured on 'Shop' is only related to the products that can be purchase on the app, this includes content about brands and designers. The 'Shop' feed allows users to discover new products based on the content they read and see. Liked products are grouped together within the feed so a user can shop by interest. A user can also shop by category and brand to find a specific item.
